Seven months earlier, Rafael Cruz, speaking to the North Texas Tea Party on behalf of his son, who was then running for Senate, called President Barack Obama an "outright Marxist" who "seeks to destroy all concept of God," and he urged the crowd to send Obama "back to Kenya."This brought a stinging response from the conservative Ted Cruz who believes in fighting in support of his views, but is tempered with respect for elected officials:
My dad doesn't know what the f*&^ he is talking about. He is just an old kook and everyone should just ignored his stupid ass. Calling the President a Kenyan will do nothing but get me kicked out of office or solidify my nomination for President. Eitherway there are somethings we should let our inside voice say or say off camera. This is one of them. His comments to the North Texas Teabag Party can be viewed here. Of course Ted Cruz will never disavow anything his father says even though it is disrespectful, in poor taste, racist, or comments not worthy of someone who wasn't even born in this country. These type of comments are what the Tea Party is all about. This is what Ted Cruz is all about. They fuel his base with hate and racism and Ted Cruz will never disavow these types of statements.
