Wilson is well know in some dark holes under I59 as the protector of the sanctity of marriage, much like Newt Gingrich. And he has gone out of his way to send letters and emails to those who support Mayor Anise Parker with tidbits like:
It is the health, or corruption, of the moral imagination that is the most important factor in determining the future of our city. If we want to save our city we must change the direction of the moral and cultural compass that guides us.And then in an interview by KHOU
"Is this the image Houston wants to portray?" "I don't see a good family, a Christian family, one man, one woman," Wilson said.Unfortunately, Dave needs to look within and question his own "moral standards", those that he created and those that do not represent the majority of Houstonians. If you are going to live in a glass house, you shouldn't throw stones. For Dave he lives in his business because he was separated from his wife. So much for his "sanctity of marriage".
I for one can't stand this sanctity of marriage crap especially coming from those on the right who can't practice safe marriage themselves, Dan Patrick, Newt Gingrich, Ronald Reagan, Rush Limbaugh, and Dave Wilson. If you are going to throw rocks, expect to be hit with one.
Hypocrites.
