Legler and his party was responsible for creating the budget crisis resulting in a $27 Billion shortfall and the $10 Billion structural reoccurring deficit. Because of this republican fiscal stupidity, thousands of hard working educators will be losing their jobs and then will be required to pee in a cup prior to accepting unemployment benefits, benefits that they have already paid for.
Besides submitting to a drug test, all elected officials should also:
- Show their birth certificate before taking office, not one of those fancy print outs from historical hospital records, or anything filed with the state archives, but a "real" birth certificate including a certificate of authenticity like you get with a Nolan Ryan rookie card.
- 80 hours community service as a teacher's aide in 3rd grade. Office hours would be 6-3, with parent/teacher conferences from 4-6, and grading of papers from 7-9 in the comfort of your own home.
- A test on the Constitution. If they don't know what is in the Constitution, they shouldn't be defending it.
- One month without a job so they can feel what it is like to be self screwed.

Are you seriously suggesting that elementary-school teachers' aides work 70 hours a week? That's preposterous.
Matt,
Are you saying they don't?
John, why is it that truth is always the first casualty of any post you make?
John, I see you're talking about me again. That's very sweet. Creepy and disconcerting, but sweet.
When I have commented on your blog (not in quite some time), I have done so under my own name (and public Google identify), as is my policy. For confirmation, you might ask your fellow lefty bloggers -- assuming they're out of jail at the moment -- on whose sites I comment.
My telephone number is 713-581-0632, for those who might wish to talk or text with me.
anonymous, no one was talking about your sorry ass. I will post your phone number on a bathroom stall to get you some much needed attention.

Why do guys like this never suggest drug testing the beneficiaries of corporate welfare? Surely all those tax breaks given by federal and state governments are worth a quick piss in a cup? After all, corporate welfare costs us vastly more than unemployed teachers ever could.
