Before you buy that Bob Perry Home......

You might want to think about what could happen to you if the foundation of your new Bob Perry home fails. From the Star Telegram:
In 2000, Bob and Jane Cull sued Perry Homes and a home warranty company to get structural and foundation problems fixed on their 1996 home. In 2002, an arbitrator awarded the couple $800,255. Perry Homes appealed to the Texas Supreme Court, and the case was sent back to trial.
Perry appealed the arbitration ruling all the way to his Supreme Court after all lower courts refused. For most people arbitration is final and unappealable as arbitration is advertised to be, but not for Bob Perry. His Supreme Court buddies ordered the arbitration to be set aside and both were ordered back to a courtroom.

The Culls, the elderly couple who bought the home, was awarded $48 Million and will probably die before Perry pays one single dime.

So think about that the next time you buy a new home from Bob Perry, or any Texas homebuilder.
