Lie-O-Meter: The government takeover of health care

As I have said before Never misunderestimate the power of ignorance. From the St Petersburg Times PolitiFact: concerning "The government takeover of health care" spread by the republican party, Fox News, and their talking radio heads:
Readers of PolitiFact, the St. Petersburg Times' independent fact-checking website, also chose it as the year's most significant falsehood by an overwhelming margin. (Their second-place choice was Rep. Michele Bachmann's claim that Obama was going to spend $200 million a day on a trip to India, a falsity that still sprouts.)
This "Government takeover of Health Care" claim was selected as the 2010 "Lie of the Year". The republican party have mastered taking advantage of the ignorant or those who are too lazy to research something as important as health care any further than a sound bite from Fox News. This power over the army of zombies will continue until they dismantle the health care bill and transfer the control and money to the insurance industry.

Because giving control to the insurance industry will result in lowering the cost of health care for everyone. (and some people still believe that crap.)
