Texas Guard Officers double dip taxpayers on Perry's watch

This is a followup on a series of award winning reports by KHOU (Mark Greenblatt, producer David Raziq and photojournalist Keith Tomshe) concerning Texas National Guard Officers double dipping the taxpayers. Guard officers were being paid twice for the same work resulting in billing the taxpayers tens of thousands of dollars and yet Governor Rick Perry has done nothing.
One year ago, Governor Perry said he expected repayment to be complete, and in a timely manner. Records newly uncovered by 11 News revealed just one former general paid the state back after receiving demand letters from the Texas National Guard, which were sent out in June of 2009.
Repayments? Is that all? KHOU catches these people committing a felony and Perry just asks for repayment? What about the "era of responsibility" crap? Not only that, but KHOU has found even more double dippers and what has Perry done? Nothing. The updated report is below. The original report can be viewed here.

KHOU claims there is an ongoing criminal investigation concerning this issue. Unfortunately the Officers do not have a Texas Ethics Commission to protect them. Look for an update after the investigation has been complete.

Governor Zoolander strikes again! He probably thinks he'll be king of Texas if we secede again.
