Slapping around Harris County Commissioner Jerry Eversole

Harris County Commissioner Jerry Eversole needs to quit complaining and start working with Sheriff Garcia. Kuff at Off the Kuff clearly showed through his research that Eversole and Radack are doing nothing but making false partisan claims against the Sheriff.  Let's just remind ourselves about Eversoles ethics:
Eversole received the largest fine in the history of the Texas Ethics Commission, $75,000, for spending over $162,000 of his donors money on cattle, antique western clothing, antique books, western art and more. He was the subject of an investigation by Wayne Dolcefino of KTRK who discovered Eversole working out in his gym (paid for with his donors money) on Harris County time. And according to Eversole himself, he is under investgation by the FBI.
And a spokesman for the Democratic Party, Anthony Gutierrez, called Eversole out for hit:
Today’s comments are completely inappropriate, especially coming from someone as ethically challenged as Eversole. This is blatantly absurd coming from the man who, by his own admission [1], said he expects the ongoing FBI investigation to lead his own indictment.
And it speaks volumes about Ed Emmett’s failed ethics reform that a corrupt politician can use an official session of commissioner’s court to say these things about a person who has dedicated their life to law enforcement.
If either Emmett, Eversole, or the Harris County Republican Party had one ounce of ethics, Eversole would be out on the street working with his attorneys to keep him out of jail.

It is hard to take these guys serious when they have so little respect for the office of Harris County Commissioner, or Harris County Tax Assessor/Collector, or Harris County Clerk, or Harris County Sheriff.

It is sad with this much corruption you would think the republican party, the party of high morals, would do something about it.

It is a sad state of their party.

Well in fairness, it's a question of the "free market" which they so love. Since these folks know full well that they're in Texas and electing Democrats is anathema, there's little downside to their misbehavior. Since the "market" (or in this case the electorate) isn't going to punish them for misbehavior since voting for the opposition is so unthinkable, there isn't much incentive to behave.
