The Harris County gop can't sell chocolate candy bars, M&Ms, have a car wash. No, they have to sell the American flag and make a profit off of it with "Professional" installation. While our soldiers are fighting for the flag in an unnecessary war the Harris County republican party supported, they sell the same flag to make a profit.
What a bunch of real American zeros.

I've gotten similar solicitations from the Boy Scouts in the past. Are you willing to classify that organization as "real American zeros".
And let's not forget these folks, too. After all, you certainly want to be even-handed about your condemnations of folks who would dare sell an American flag.

I haven't been able to find an official PDF of the state GOP platform yet, but based on what I've been hearing about it, and the '08 platform, I'm planning to wear a motorcycle helmet in anticipation of cranial explosion.
Here's some of the "highlights" to expect:
--Rescind "no-fault" divorce laws. (When God said "Until death do you part" he meant it.)
--Prohibit Gay and Lesbian parents from visiting their children, except when ordered by the court, and then only under supervision.
--Abstinence Only sex education. (Who cares that it increases teen pregnancy.)
--We support school subjects with emphasis on Judeo-Christian principles upon which America was founded and which form the basis of America’s legal, political and economic systems. (Can you say "dominionist?" Sure you can...)
--Homosexual behavior is contrary to the fundamental, unchanging truths that have been ordained by God, recognized by our country’s founders, and shared by the majority of Texans.
--Teaching and equal treatment of strengths and weaknesses of scientific theories, including Intelligent Design. (The definitive ruling in Dover vs. PA is lost on these irrational creationists.)
--We pledge our influence toward a return to the original intent of the First Amendment and toward dispelling the myth of separation of church and state. (Jefferson must be turning flips in his tomb.)
I was hopeful that the ignorance and desire to politically and socially indoctrinate the youth of Texas was limited to a handful of fruitcakes on the State Board of Embarrassment. But not anymore. "God's Own Party" has proudly come out (so to speak) as the fiscally incompetent, blue nosed authoritarian busy bodies that they are.
