No sooner do I apologize for making fun of Harris County Judge Larry Standley I get a number of texts concerning his past behavior. Here are some of the texts I got this morning and they are disturbing.

He sent out emails with the words "Gay Nigger"
Where is my $50?
His own party has asked him to step down!
Either move your car or I will tow it.
This guys is an idiot!
He sentenced a guy to yoga for abusing his wife!When the Harris County Republican Party asks one of their own members to step down they must have done something pretty damn bad, or they are not donating enough money to the party. Harris County Commissioner Jerry Eversole, who has the award for the largest fine in the history of the Texas Ethics Commission, donates a lot of money to the HCRP as well as to the Chairman for his re-election campaign. You don't see the HCRP calling for Eversole's resignation, so maybe Standley just didn't donate enough or there is one big ass double standard going on.
So, my apology was a bit premature. Standley has been on the bench for over 10 years. It wouldn't hurt if we had some new blood in that seat. Let's thank him for his service, and move on.
You have to wonder why CCISD invited this guy to speak to their students without doing a background check. (This is what got him in the latest hot water) I have to wonder why I apologized without doing a background check. And who in the hell is going to tow my damn car? And if the anonymous text-er is reading this, I don't owe you $50! Read the damn rules shankapotamus!
