Study and make recommendations regarding the use of arbitration in Texas andIn 2002 two hearings, one in the Senate and one in the House were conducted to examine the abuse of arbitration, especially in the area of new home contracts. The now defunct Texas Residential Construction Commission also performed a study although it was very slanted towards the home builders. At all the hearings, the consumers hammered the home building industry with horror stories attributed to arbitration. This hearing should be no different. Unfortunately after numerous hearings nothing has been done to resolve the problem.
