Those states that do consume the most porn tend to be more conservative and religious than states with lower levels of consumption, the study finds. And you wonder why we are so screwed in Texas?
"Some of the people who are most outraged turn out to be consumers of the very things they claimed to be outraged by," Edelman says.

Your headline is "Texas conservatives rank high on porn."
If you can cite Edelman's study to support that headline, I'll buy you a steak dinner.
The story didn't mention Texas at all, and Edelman's study said, "With interest in online adult entertainment relatively constant across regions, there’s little sign of a major divide."
Just admit it, you like screwing people.
And watching too.
I did look at Edelman's study -- and the only reference to Texas is the citation of Lawrence v. Texas.
Who cares? the bottom line is republicans like sex. And prostitutes. And gay sex. And porn.
So much for being a passionate conservative.
Actually, the study does not draw that conclusion.
It could be that the up-tick is among all you porn-loving liberals who are frustrated by your electoral losses.
Especially since the author note the lack of significant differences between red and blue states.
And remember -- not all conservatives are religious/social conservatives. Libertarian conservatives have no problem with porn, and many economic conservatives consider it to be a business like any other.
Look on the bright side Anon 7:46...
After such a limp performance last fall the survey is an indication that conservatives are starting to get a grip on themselves.
As for libertarian influence on the party of big government social conservative authoritarians, dream on.
Republicans have very little credibility with independent free thinkers and libertarians.
(Don't get a woody John... The dems aren't any better)
How high did they rank, John?
(Hint: You can't answer this question because it's not mentioned in the study. Your headline is a fabrication.)
Yea, but it sure does push your buttons, matt!
